Evangelist Barnabas Agorh was born in the family of Mr & Mrs, Gilbert Agorh Umuji - in a small village called Ekpezeuno in Aro-ndizuogu town, Imo State Nigeria. A family of nine children, I was the eight child in our family.
Evangelist Barnabas Agorh is married to Joy Agorh and we are bless with four children, three boys and a girl, John Agorh, Mercy Agorh, Ness Agorh and Emmanuel Agorh, the family angel.
I lived a very rough life, as a Street fighter, also involved in drunkenness, smoking of cigarette and marijuana, practice mystical and occultism. One day a friend introduce me, to an occult organization, and I communicated with them for about six months. One day they sent me a letter to come for initiation.
Another life experience under bondage, One day I went to a shop where they sell charms and talismans as good luck charms. While I was looking at it, the owner of the shop called my attention from the window between his Office and the Shop. He asked me to come in and when I entered, he asked me what I was looking for, "a good luck charm" he told me to open my palm, and I did. He looked at my palm and told me that I am wasting my time. Then he said to me, "you have been to so many native doctors and have spent a lot of money looking for success, but that God doesn't want me to operate in that area, that I am surpose to be in position of laying hands on people and they will recieve healing" but if I insisted in buying the charm, he is going to sell the charm to me, but I should know that is not going to work for me, so I left the shop disapointed.
In another occasion my Brother invited a witch doctor in our family to perform a ritual for protectation of the whole family, I was lying down on the bed, pretend to be asleep, the Witch Doctor said to my family, do you see this man sleeping here he is a Pastor. By then I have not known what is called born again.
This is how God Started with me.
On the very morning that I prepared to take the journey for initiation, my Brother said to me, that he forgot to tell me the dream that my Sister dreamt about me, so after he explain the dream to me, I understood the meaning immediately, beacuse I was about to take a journey the same morning, so I became terrified, my heart failed me, I was very frightened.
It did't end there, I decided to visit a prophet to inquire, about the journey, instead of me hearing the expectation of my heart, the prophet told me how I was going to become a rich man, I was there to find out about the journey not being rich, so I wasn't convinced with his prophecy. Then at the on other side was a younger prophet who was working under the prophet himself, so I decided to consult him for more prayers.
Now with the young prophet, He told me to kneel down which I did, he lay his hand on my head and said to me there is a journey you are about to take now, which I feel that will be a one day journey, but that journey will take you one week, Then you will return back. He goes on to warn me, what it will not profit me to put myself in a place that after six months of being rich, I will loose my life. So I became more terrified, I know that my fear was not because of the journey, but the promise I made to God, that if I fail in this journey, that I will serve him without reservation.
With this incident, God put His fear upon me to draw me closer. I went back to my girlfriend who has so many times invited me to their church, which I declined but that day I went to meet her and told her everything which I have been hiding from her. Then she took me to their pastor, and I was told to confess all the Evil things that I have been doing, which I did, and brought out all my occult and mysticle materials and denounce them, they put fire to it and burn them to ashes.
September 1989, I received Jesus as my Master and Personal Savior. After two months of my accepting Jesus as my Savior, I was in a dream across a vast land of desert. In that dream I was leading a multitude of people to a point, as we reached a certain river without a bridge. There was where an almond tree that fall across the river as a bridge, so I went over first, and commanded those multitude to followed me, the children came first, women and men.
Then I was asking the Lord what this dream meant. I woke up and the Lord speak to my heart, and said He will use me, to take many people from the desert of this world, into His kingdom.
I don't know what your going through now, I don't know where you have been for solutions, but I know one thing, Jesus is the answer to your problems, He is the key to life, and He is the key to success. Jesus wants you to give Him the permission to come into your life and situation.
I hope this little Biography of me, will help you to seek God, if God can change me, He can as well change you.
